🌟 Saplings 2 Have Had an Amazing Week! 🌟

Our learners have enjoyed a variety of engaging activities across the curriculum this week.

🚗 Motor Vehicle sessions helped learners develop practical skills, confidence and an understanding of vehicle maintenance.

🧪 In Science, learners demonstrated fantastic curiosity and enthusiasm, taking part in hands-on investigations and exploring new concepts through practical learning.

🔨 During D&T, they showed creativity, resilience and problem-solving skills as they worked on their projects and developed new skills.

🌳 Forest School provided plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning, with learners embracing the natural environment, building their independence and confidence, and enjoying a range of exciting activities in the great outdoors.

🏃‍♂️🌟 Bouncing into Confidence in PE! 🌟🏃‍♀️

Saplings 3 had a fantastic time developing their confidence and physical skills on the trampoline during PE this week!

Learners worked hard to practise their balance, coordination and body control while taking part in this fun and engaging activity. It was wonderful to see everyone challenge themselves, build resilience and celebrate their achievements as they learned new skills and techniques.

Activities like trampolining help to promote physical wellbeing, boost confidence and encourage perseverance, and Saplings 3 showed great enthusiasm and determination throughout the session.

Saplings 2 had an amazing Science lesson this week, demonstrating fantastic curiosity, enthusiasm and a real passion for learning!

The learners thoroughly enjoyed exploring scientific concepts through hands-on activities and practical investigations. They asked thoughtful questions, made careful observations and worked brilliantly together to discover new ideas and deepen their understanding.

Saplings 2 and 3 have been immersing themselves in the exciting world of painting as they begin to learn about the differences between oil paints and watercolours.

Our learners have been investigating how each type of paint behaves, experimenting with a range of techniques and discovering the unique effects they can create. They found that watercolours produce soft, delicate and transparent colours, while oil-based paints create richer, bolder and more vibrant effects.

It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm shine through as they develop new artistic skills and grow in confidence expressing themselves through art. 🌟

Harley has created this amazing jewellery box for his sister’s birthday during his D&T lessons this week!

Throughout the project, Harley demonstrated fantastic creativity, patience and attention to detail, carefully developing his practical skills and taking great pride in every stage of the process. The finished jewellery box is a thoughtful and personal gift, showcasing not only his craftsmanship but also the hard work and dedication he has put into creating something special for his sister.

We are incredibly proud of Harley’s effort and commitment. The final result is outstanding, and he should be very proud of what he has achieved.

🔥🌲 Forest School Teamwork! 🌲🔥

Thor showed fantastic kindness and leadership during Forest School this week by helping our new learner, James, learn the art of fire lighting.

Using his excellent knowledge and skills, Thor carefully explained each step, provided guidance when needed, and helped James build his confidence. James thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was incredibly proud of helping to create the fire. He is already looking forward to taking part in Forest School again!

🌿⛰️ Curriculum Adventures at Carding Mill Valley and The Wrekin! ⛰️🌿

Our learners enjoyed two fantastic curriculum trips, exploring the great outdoors at Carding Mill Valley and taking on the challenge of climbing The Wrekin.

At Carding Mill Valley, learners embraced the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, developing their understanding of the local environment while building confidence, resilience and independence. The beautiful surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for outdoor learning, teamwork and exploration.

Meanwhile, our Key Stage 2 learners demonstrated incredible determination as they tackled the climb up The Wrekin. Every step of the journey encouraged perseverance, self-belief and a sense of achievement. Reaching the top brought not only spectacular views but also a huge sense of pride in what they had accomplished together.

These experiences are so valuable in helping learners develop essential life skills, challenge themselves outside of the classroom and create lasting memories with their peers. We are incredibly proud of the positive attitudes, enthusiasm and resilience shown by everyone who took part.

👏✨Creativity in the Kitchen🍫🐉
This week in Primary Enrichment, we got creative in the kitchen and the craft area! Learners made some delicious sweet rice crispy treats before putting their artistic skills to work creating colourful paper dragons.

A special mention goes to Hunter, who enjoyed showing Leah how to make a paper dragon. Hunter gave clear instructions and offered lots of encouragement, demonstrating fantastic teamwork and leadership skills. Once their dragons were complete, both learners got creative with their designs, adding plenty of colour and personality to bring them to life.

It was wonderful to see learners working together, supporting one another and having so much fun while developing their creativity and communication skills. Well done, everyone!
